HuePort
Terms of use
These terms explain how you may use HuePort and what our free service does. In short: we help homeowners connect with licensed, insured painting contractors, but we do not do painting work ourselves.
What HuePort is
HuePort is a free matching service for homeowners and renters in the United States who are planning an interior or exterior painting project. We help people share basic project details and get connected with licensed, insured painting contractors near them.
HuePort is not a painting company, paint store, licensed contractor, or home inspector. We do not perform painting work, supervise job sites, provide labor, sell paint, or make repairs. Any contract for painting work is between you and the contractor you choose to hire.
Using the site and our service
By using HuePort, you agree to use the site in a lawful, honest way. Please submit accurate information so painters can understand your project and contact you about it.
We only ask for contact and project-intent details such as your name, phone number, optional email, project type, interior or exterior, ZIP code, preferred language, and optional notes. We do not ask for bank account numbers, Social Security numbers, income details, or other sensitive personal records through our matching form.
How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy. You can also read our general limits and information notices on our Disclaimer.
What information on HuePort means
The information on HuePort is general information only. It is meant to help you understand painting projects, color choices, finishes, prep, and common pricing factors in plain language. It is not structural advice, lead-abatement advice, legal advice, or a substitute for an in-person review by a qualified professional.
Any cost ranges shown on HuePort are estimates for general planning, not quotes. Real pricing depends on the surface, prep needed, number of coats, paint grade, access or height, repairs, and your local area. We do not promise a price, a finish date, a specific painter, or a guaranteed result.
Choosing and hiring a painter
You stay in control of your project. You choose whether to speak with a painter, whether to request an estimate, and who to hire. Before work starts, confirm the color, brand or paint line, finish, scope of work, prep included, and total price in writing.
We strongly encourage you to compare a few quotes and verify that any painter you are considering is properly licensed and insured where required by local or state rules. Be careful with vague pricing, large cash deposits up front, door-to-door "today only" deals, no proof of license or insurance, or pressure to sign right away.
If your home was built before 1978, older paint may contain lead. Ask the painter how they follow lead-safe work practices when prep may disturb old paint. That is an important safety question for you to raise before work begins.
Our limits, links, and updates
HuePort does not guarantee that you will receive matches, that any contractor will be available, or that any project will be accepted at a certain price or timeline. We also do not guarantee the quality, licensing status, insurance status, availability, conduct, or work outcome of any third-party contractor. You should confirm those details yourself before hiring.
Our site may include links to other pages such as our Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, or Contact page. If you contact us, we can help explain how our free matching service works, but we cannot negotiate your contract or manage the painting job for you.
We may update these terms from time to time as the site and service change. By continuing to use HuePort after updates are posted, you accept the current version of these terms.
HuePort is free to use and can help you find painters, but you are the one who chooses who to hire and what work gets done.
